Both the MaxTag and SmartTAG are produced by the same manufacturer, Basset Sdn. Bhd. Both can be used on SmartTAG lanes. MaxTag uses the latest generation of microprocessor allowing you to breeze through the toll stations.
The MaxTag will work as long as the black shiny surface faces the receiver at the top of the SmartTAG lane. However, the best position for a quicker detection would be at an angle of 45° degrees. We recommend to use the bracket holder that comes with the MaxTag or the dashboard holder.
The batteries should last about 6 months to 1 year depending on usage. We recommend to use alkaline batteries from Energizer or GP.

Yes, the MaxTag comes with either 1 year or 3 years of manufacturer’s warranty based on your purchase.
Each MaxTag device comes with a warranty card. If your MaxTag is still under warranty, we will repair your device free of charge. You may walk in to our office for warranty claim or alternatively, you may send the device back to us at the address provided, and we will courier the repaired device back to you within two weeks.
You may bring your device back to us for repairs.
The bracket holder is held up using 3M adhesive tape.
If purchased online, the delivery of MaxTag will take approximately 1-5 days.
Unfortunately, cash on delivery is not possible. However, you can purchase the MaxTag in person at our sales office or from petrol stations in the list below.

1. Returns must be done within ten (10) working days starting from the day the goods are delivered to you. You may return your order (or items) for any of the following reasons:
- You received the wrong item in your package or the item has a manufacturing defect (excluding goods marked as display set items or clearance goods).
And the general requirements for returns are as follows:
- You have proof of purchase (order invoice number and receipt).
- The goods must be in new condition and returned in the original selling condition and unopened packaging along with all original accessories (including warranty cards) and any free gifts, vouchers received with it.
- The product was received with manufacturing defects.
2. The returned goods will be checked with the receipt together and the goods should be in the condition that corresponds to the prior notified with Basset customer support (click here to contact us).
3. During the parcel returning, the buyer should ensure that the goods, including any complimentary items such as accessories that come with the goods, must be returned together in the condition received by the buyer on delivery. Buyer is advised to take a photo of the parcel/goods before the return delivery.
4. Basset shall be under no liability if the parcel is lost or any damaged during the return shipment, goods should be safely wrapped to avoid from warranty/refund exemption.
5. Customers will only be received the replacement or refund within a week, after the non-conforming goods (or part thereof) is checked and confirmed.
6. The returned goods must be the original goods sold by Basset, certain wilful actions attempted by the buyer, such as warranty misuse, exchange faulty goods by replacing the original goods, improper information provided deliberately, or any deceptive behavior found may exempt the warranty of goods without prior notification.
7. The company is entitled to amend terms and conditions without any prior notice.
8. No refunds will be issued.

Warranty Information
All MaxTag devices come with either a 1-year or 2-years manufacturer’s warranty, depending on the package that you purchased. All units come with a unique serial number to identify which warranty it comes with.
Faulty devices that are under warranty will be repaired free of charge. The device should be sent to us at the address provided, and we will courier the repaired device back to you within two weeks.
